Pakora, a nice little afternoon snack. Prep time 15 mins, Frying time 5 -8 mins

1 potato grated

1 onion Sliced

3 florets of cauliflower

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon of cumin seeds

1 tablespoon of grated ginger

1 tablespoon of freshly chopped coriander

1 tablespoon of freshly chopped curry leaves

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

150 gms of sifted gram flour


  • Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix with clean hands, squeezing it all together so any liquid from onions and veg mix with the gram flour.

  • Add a little water to get it to a thickish consistency.

  • Then in hot oil, add spoon fulls of battered veg

  • Fry till golden brown.


Make sure it's not too big as the middle might not cook XX
